Deal Cart LLC ("we", "us") operates Tech Spindle. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

1. Data we collect

• Account: username and email.
• Profile: optional "About me" and "Writing preferences" you provide.
• Activity: saved articles, reads, votes, source/topic preferences.
• Usage analytics: events such as pages viewed, articles opened, and features used.

2. How we use it

• To operate and personalize your feed and the writing tools.
• To understand product usage and improve the service.

3. Third-party processors

We share data with service providers strictly to run the product:

• Anthropic — article text and your writing profile are sent to generate summaries/drafts.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting and database (United States).
• PostHog — product analytics (United States), configured without analytics cookies.
• Google Analytics — website and product analytics (United States). Unlike PostHog, Google Analytics does set cookies — see the Cookies section below.
• Payment processor (e.g. Stripe) — only if/when you purchase a subscription.

4. Cookies

We use a minimal set of storage needed to keep you signed in. Our PostHog analytics is configured to avoid cookies, storing its data in your browser's local storage instead.

Google Analytics does set cookies (named _ga and similar) in order to recognise a returning visitor and group their activity into a single visit. We use this to understand how people find and move through the site. We do not send Google your name, email address, or username; a signed-in account is identified to Google only by an opaque numeric id. You can opt out across all sites using Google's browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.

5. Your choices

You can edit your profile or delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data — including saved articles, votes, preferences, and generated drafts — from active systems. You may also contact us for data access requests.

6. Data location

Data is currently stored and processed in the United States.

7. Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the "last updated" date above.
