The Tech Spindle story

Reading fuels thoughts.
Writing makes them real.

That's the Spindle.

Reading is fuel — on its own, it goes nowhere. A thought only exists once two separate stories cross paths in your head and reroute into something neither was on its own. That crossing is thinking, and it happens dozens of times a day without you noticing, because nothing catches it.

Writing is what catches it. The moment a hunch has to become a sentence, it either survives as a real idea or it doesn't — and either way, now you know. Tech Spindle exists to keep that whole loop running: enough different stories in front of you to actually collide, and a place to write down what collides before it fades.

The Spindle

It's already in your navigation.

You just met it. Look at the nav: Read. Write. Publish — that's the Spindle in motion, doing what a spindle does: keep turning.

Read Write Publish

Read

An AI-ranked feed cuts the noise — stories scored for real-world impact and technical novelty, near-duplicate coverage collapsed into one. Its job isn't to save you ten minutes. It's to keep enough different stories in front of you that two of them actually collide. Save what strikes you — it doesn't just sit on a shelf.

Write

This is where the work happens. Think Tank turns what readers save and upvote into fresh writing prompts — ~20 a week, five rotating daily — so you never face a blank page, but the page is still yours. Rough out a draft with AI or write every word yourself. What Tech Spindle won't do is pretend a generated take is a point of view.

Publish

Once it's written, ship it. Pitch it to Clips — a quick admin review, not a rewrite, before it reaches the site's readership — or shape it for LinkedIn, X, or your blog in a click via Spin Up, live immediately since that's your own channel. Publishing is what falls out the end of the loop, not the reason for it.

The newsroom

Meet the team that runs the presses.

Tech Spindle's daily operations run on seven named AI agents — a full newsroom, each with one job and a boundary it never crosses. We name them and scope them because if AI is doing the work, you deserve to know which AI, and what its job is.

The agents run the presses. The points of view are human.

The standard

Where the humans come in.

In a web filling up with unsigned AI sludge, a signed, formed, human take is the scarcest thing on it. That's what Clips exists to produce.

Agent work

Everything with a byline like Lexi or Loom

Clearly labeled, always. Word of the Day, Product Idea, your daily/weekly newsletter, the podcast script, Think Tank prompts — useful, scoped, and never pretending to be a personal opinion.

Everything under Clips

Researched pieces with a real point of view — some pitched by readers and polished here, some written outright. Reader pitches get a quick review before they go live: not a velvet rope, a quality bar.

Who it's for

Anyone whose standing depends on having something to say.

Knowing what happened isn't enough anymore. Having a take on it is. If you already think by writing, this is your workshop. If you want to be known for how you think, this is where that starts.

Origin

Where it came from.

Tech Spindle began as one CTO's problem: staying on top of a field that shifts every hour, on a calendar with no room to spare — and wanting to be known for original thinking, not just for keeping current. Every tool out there solved the reading. None solved the thinking. So this got built.
